The end is nigh

So the closer we get to the finish line the slower it all gets...

It’s been a while since I have blogged anything and it seems that a lot has happened since the last time I wrote, The house is coming along very nicely and its seems to be relatively smooth sailing from here (touches the timber desk)

It’s been a long road and lots of angst along the way but finally I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and thankfully it’s not the torchlight of the rescue party.

Met with the builders today and all is on track for a late Jan early Feb finish and that includes the newly designed deck that with extend out both from the north and south sides of the house.

The plumber and much as I have cussed him along the way (and dropped the "c" bomb about him in front of Mum... sorry Mum) has almost finished and all in all has done an OK job besides the most stupid placement of the HWS & gas meter, there is a saving grace and that is that he seriously stuffed up the toilets and has put all the pipes in the wrong places and I am not budging on the choice of suite to help him out ....hahahaha revenge is so sweet.

Not long now, the wood heater is in the painting near completion and the deck building immanent, I was up there today sitting on the bench in the garden thinking how peaceful it all was and that in a month I will be up there all the time.

The house in Melbourne is exploding and Steve will kill me if I bring home any more furniture, although I just purchased the most AMAZING vintage tennis court lights on eBay and cannot wait to have them in the collection of stuff for the house.... and boy what a collection it’s going to be.

Dad has finished the kitchen benches and they are looking great I am so happy and thankful to have such a talented Dad to help me out, maybe I need to rope my talented Mum into the construction of the roman blinds for the bedrooms.

Anyway after a long day at the Kyneton races and a very exciting visit to the house I am going to enjoy another beer and contemplate the imminent arrival of my new born.
